The Green Bay Packers went on the road and defeated the Cleveland Browns on Sunday

Despite being down 21-7 to close the 3rd Quarter, the Green Bay Packers refused to be the Cleveland Browns’ first win on the season.  Brent Hundley finished the game with a 76% completion percentage, 265 yards in the air, and 3 touchdowns. The UCLA alum struggled initially when taking over for Aaron Rodgers when the former MVP injured his shoulder, but has improved in leaps and bounds in the following weeks. Jamaal Williams had a standout game, with 49 rushing yards and 69 receiving yards and 2 total touchdowns. The rookie running back has been a breakout star in the past few weeks since earning the starting spot. Davante Adams was the Packers’ leading receiver, with 10 receptions for 84 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Packers are now 7-6 and with Aaron Rodgers close to returning, they are looking to make a push for the Wild Card.

The Cleveland Browns on the other hand are simply looking for a win, rather than making the playoffs. Notre Dame alum DeShone Kizer went 20 for 28 with 214 yards in the air and 3 touchdowns, but also had 2 interceptions on the day. The Browns certainly could have used the services of other Notre Dame alumni, such as Tim Brown or Joe Theismann. Isaiah Crowell had a solid game on the ground, with 121 yards on 19 carries. However, the most notable player for the Browns was Josh Gordon. The dynamic receiver played his first home game in 3 years and did not disappoint. The Baylor alum had 3 catches for 69 yards and a touchdown. Not even Baylor alum and former All-Pro cornerback Ray Crockett would have been able to shut him down.

With the loss, the Browns now drop to 0-13 on the season, their second time in two years they have started the year 0-13.

Despite the disappointing season, the Cleveland Browns still have solid personnel players that can contribute in the NFL. In the NFL, it is important to seek out opportunities and maintain a successful image.
