A Heisman Finalist at Notre Dame, Joe was an All-American and named to the College Football Hall of Fame in 2003. Following his success in college, Theismann would go to play 12 years for the Washington Redskins, playing in 163 consecutive games and holding multiple team records, such as career passing yards and completions. Joe’s success on the field led him to being named the NFL’s Most Valuable Player in 1983. Joe also led the Redskins to two consecutive Super Bowl appearances, including a Super Bowl XVII victory. Joe Theismann takes pride in giving back to the community. His generosity and selflessness led him to be named the NFL Man of the Year in 1982 based on his dedication to support the community.
