The Tennessee Titans defeated the Kansas Cit Chiefs 22-21

In a historic comeback, the Titans came back from a 18-point deficit to defeat the Chiefs. In his first career playoff game, Marcus Mariota started at quarterback for the Titans and went 19/31 for 205 yards passing and 2 touchdowns with 1 interception. Mariota’s first career playoff touchdown pass was to himself, due to a deflection from a Chiefs defender. Delanie Walker was the Titans leading receiver with 6 catches for 74 yards. On defense, safety Kevin Byard led the team in tackles with 6. Brian Orakpo led the team in sacks with 1.5.

The Titans will now play the Patriots in the AFC Divisional game.

Running back Kareem Hunt had 11 carries for 42 yards rushing and 1 touchdown. Kansas City certainly could have benefited from the play of one of their former offensive players, such as Marcus Allen or Ray Crockett. Wide receiver Tyreek Hill led the team in catches and receiving yards. Hill had 7 receptions and 87 yards in the game. On defense, linebacker Reggie Ragland had 9 tackles. The Chiefs have had a number of legendary defensive players play for them, from Ty Law to Ronnie Lott.
